Welcome to Tidal Coffee, a delightful café nestled along the beautiful Seven Mile Beach in Tasmania. This charming spot, located at 118 Surf Rd, has quickly become a beloved gathering place for locals and visitors alike, offering an inviting atmosphere, rich flavors, and a friendly vibe.

Tidal Coffee stands out for its impressive coffee selections and delightful quick bites, all crafted with a focus on quality and community. As Jane Bourke, one of the many satisfied patrons, passionately notes, Tidal Coffee serves the “best chai latte’s in Hobart by far.” Here, you'll discover a unique preparation where the Original Blend Prana is combined with milk, creating a rich and spicy brew that tantalizes the senses. The chai is poured thoughtfully through a sieve into your cup, allowing you to savor the subtle notes of star anise, ginger, tea, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves—a far cry from the typical overly sweet chai powders found elsewhere.

But it’s not just the chai that earns praise; patrons rave about the delightful coffee that Tidal Coffee has to offer. According to TheLifeof Marissa, guests are reminded of the sunny vibes of North Queensland with each sip of their expertly brewed coffee paired with delicious cookies that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

The café also boasts a beautiful outdoor seating area where families can soak up the sunshine while enjoying their meals, as noted by Annabel Freemantle who enjoyed the “great vibes” that made her want to return. For those cooler days, there is limited undercover seating, ensuring comfort without sacrificing the essence of outdoor dining.

In addition to the fantastic beverages, Tidal Coffee features a selection of basic eats—perfect for a light meal or snack. David Haines describes the café as a wonderful discovery with sensational coffee and tasty pastries that make for a satisfyingly simple yet delightful experience.

If you find yourself in Seven Mile Beach, Tidal Coffee is a must-visit destination where you can enjoy heartfelt flavors and terrific customer service in a stunning location. Whether you’re starting your day with an invigorating coffee or unwinding in the afternoon sun with a chai latte, this little spot is bound to leave a lasting impression.

Best chai latte’s in Hobart by far. They use Original Blend Prana. Heat the milk and chai together and served in a jug with a sieve so you pour milk thru the sieve into the cup. Can taste the star anise, ginger, tea, cardamom, cinnamon and cloves. I haven’t found anywhere else in Hobart that serves chai latte’s like this. In many cases it is unfortunately a spoonful of old, very sweet chai powder and tastes accordingly. Thanks Tidal!

Great little cafe in Seven Mile Beach for yummy quick bites and rich coffee. Really great vibes and very family friendly. We sat outside which was nice to be in the sun but there was some limited undercover seating too. Will come back!

Great container cafe! Been here a few times now and it’s very popular. Tasty coffee that reminds me of North Queensland, great cookies, and good service.

What a great discovery! Basic eats, not full cafe style, rather some pastries, cakes etc. coffee is sensational.

Great little container style cafe, well located and filling a niche - given there is no other cafe like it nearby. Coffee is good (8/10), I love their bacon and egg brioche, an assortment of cakes and treats, and it has a lovely laid back beach vibe. Dont expect a full cafe menu - but there is certainly enough options for a light lunch or coffee and a snack! If you're a doggy person, your furry friends are also welcome on leash!

What a beautiful spot for a coffee and brioche brekky burger after a beach walk. Off street parking on both sides of the road, four picnic tables out front, undercover seating on the balcony, dog water bowl, NotNeutral coffee cups, and nice to see the shipping container building has been orientated to capture the warm morning sun
